Story of fascinating brownies and basic ingredients!

Who doesn't adore chocolate and goods made with it? Due to its believably rich flavor, chocolate elevates the appeal of desserts, confectionery, and even some beverages. Chocolate is more than simply a flavor; it holds the secret to love and happiness. If you're feeling down or depressed, just devour a piece of chocolate—or any treat that contains chocolate—and you'll instantly feel happier and more energized.

Let's talk about delicious and chewy yet fudgy brownies. We all love brownies but we never tried to learn about who invented them!

Bertha Palmer, a socialite and philanthropist, created the first brownies in Chicago. She also presided over the Board of Lady Managers for the World's Columbian Exposition in 1893. She asked Palmer House pastry chefs to create a dessert recipe that would be easy to transport in boxed lunches to the Women's Pavilion. Yes, that day we were graced with the simplest and most delicious chocolate dessert ever.

How to make chewy yet fudgy brownies?

We were introduced to the fudgiest Nutella Brownies after many recipe variations! Today we will share an easy and quick recipe for scrumptious Nutella Brownies, as well as authentic tips about how to bake a perfect brownie.

Recipe for Scrumptious Nutella Brownies

Prep Time: 15 min | Cook Time: 25Min | Total Time: 40min

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs (Room Temperature)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ⅓ cup white granulated sugar

  • ½ cup unsalted butter

  • 3 tablespoons of Cocoa Powder

  • 1 cup Nutella + 3 tablespoons (Room Temperature)

  • 1 pinch salt

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour (Leveled)

  • 2 tablespoons milk (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 365F. Grease and line the baking pan (8x8 inch).

  2. In a microwave-safe bowl add butter, brown and white sugar and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds. Take them out, whisk them and repeat the process for 3 more times. Let the mixture cool down a bit

  3. Add two large eggs and vanilla extract in a clean bowl, and whisk them using a stand mixer or a hand whisk. Then add the butter and sugar mixture to the fluffed eggs and keep whisking.

  4. Now add room-temperature Nutella and keep beating. Once the Nutella, eggs and butter mixture is combined, stop beating.

  5. At this step take a sieve and a large bowl. Add flour, cocoa powder and salt and sieve them so that there are no lumps when mixing dry ingredients.

  6. Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and fold it using the spatula. Do not beat at this point, keep using a spatula. If you're having difficulty in folding the mixture add milk and it would be easier to do so.

  7. After all the ingredients are completely combined, put the mixture into the greased pan and place the pan into the oven.

  8. Drop teaspoonfuls of the extra Nutella on top. Using a knife, swirl the Nutella into the batter.

  9. Bake them for 18-22 minutes at the consistent heat of 365F.

  10. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan set on a wire rack. Once cool, flip over the tray and cut into squares.

  11. Enjoy the fudgiest and most scrumptious Nutella Brownies!

To store brownies

Allow them to cool completely before transferring them to an airtight container with a tight-fitting lid or a resealable plastic bag. The brownies can be stored at room temperature for five days. If you aren't going to eat the brownies right away, you can freeze them to extend their shelf life.

To freeze the brownies

Place them on a baking sheet in a single layer and freeze for 1 hour, or until firm. Then, freeze the frozen brownies in a freezer-safe container or bag for up to 3 months. Remove the brownies from the container and let them thaw at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or until soft and chewy.

Tips

  • Beat the eggs and sugar mixture for more time to make the brownies chewy inside and crispier outside.

  • Use good quality flour and cocoa powder because it will make your brownies lighter and more densely flavored.

  • Do not overbake them, otherwise, they will turn out like a cake.

  • Do not over-swirl the Nutella on the top. Let the Nutella sit on the top instead of combining it with the mixture.

  • For more flavor you can add nuts such as almonds, walnuts or pecans.

  • Use a metal pan and don’t forget to grease and line it with parchment paper.

  • Measure the ingredients using proper scales and cups.
